Antique Medical Skull (0259)

This specimen is a skull prepared as a teaching tool for medical students. With its simple calvarium cut for easy removal of the skull cap, this skull is perfect for understanding the inner structure of the cranium. It also features jaw springs, for the articulation of the mandible. This skull has a gray patina and fair dentition with some missing and damaged teeth towards the front of the mandible. There is also some small damage along the left side of the calvarium cut. Additionally, there is damage above the right eye socket. It has now found its way from an educational device to the public market.
