The striped skunk is a mammal species native to southern Canada, the United States and northern Mexico. It is one of the most recognizable of North America’s animals, known for its long and stout body, black fur with a thick white stripe down the middle, its bushy tail, and its propensity for spraying predators with an odorous chemical.
